Cris is a loving husband and a dedicated father. He is devoted, beyond words, to his wife, Kristi, and his four children, Matt, Jake, Josh, and Jessie. He grew up in a small, central Texas town called Luling, where he learned at an early age the importance of family, a tight-knit community, and treating people with respect and empathy.
Cris spent his undergraduate years at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. He was in the "Goin' Band from Raiderland", and the president of his fraternity, Lambda Chi Alpha. In 1988, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Tech in Management Information Systems and married his college sweetheart and fellow Red Raider, Kristi Kelley (Hall). Also in 1988, Cris was hired by General Dynamics Corporation, in Fort Worth, Texas, as a computer programmer on their F-16 Fighter Jet project.
In 1990, Cris accepted employment as a Senior Programmer for Radio Shack Corporation, in their Database Load group, and was responsible for Relational Database Loading of all sales data, in every Radio Shack store in the nation. While working full time, he earned a Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Texas at Arlington in 1993. In this same year, Cris left Radio Shack and became a Senior Programmer/Analyst at The BNSF Railway Company, and has enjoyed many positions with progressively more responsibility. Cris is currently an Information Technology Architect with BNSF Railway.
For Cris, his proudest moments have been the birth of each of his four children, and each milestone they have reached on their way to becoming fine youngsters in the community. He enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and church and also likes coaching his boys in baseball and SCUBA diving. Cris has now dedicated himself to helping children and their families who have undergone hemispherectomy surgeries. His dream is to see The Hemispherectomy Foundation grow in strength so that no child's needs, or their family's needs, go unattended.
